Guided tours of Innsbruck Airport

Our guided group tours give globetrotters, flying enthusiasts and young fans the opportunity to experience day-to-day life at Innsbruck Airport.

Group tours are available by Mid of May until Mid of October. We ask that all tours are booked in advance for security reasons.

What does an airport tour include?
Our airport tours can be summarised in one simple sentence: “A day in the life of an airport passenger”. The tour starts in the departure hall and then continues through security control and onto the apron before returning to the arrivals hall and the public area. Your tour guide will share lots of exciting facts and information about Innsbruck Airport, provide a brief overview of its history and tell you all about different airport procedures, such as check-in, baggage loading, aircraft fuelling and much more. They will also describe and explain the work carried out by the aircraft handling team and the equipment that is used.

How long does a tour last?
The guided tour lasts approximately 1 hour.

Do I need to bring an ID for the tour?
Yes. Every participant aged 18 or over must bring a valid photo ID (passport, identification card or driving licence).
In the case of children’s groups, only accompanying adults are required to bring valid photo identification.

Are there any costs?
A guided tour costs € 35.00 per group.
The contribution to expenses will be donated in its entirety to a social institution in Tyrol!

Please note - appointments are made from the beginning of April.
